GASTROINTESTINAL NO. 1 combines the power of ancient medicinal plants with the knowledge of modern science. Psyllium husks are a traditional remedy for diarrhoea and constipation. Fennel seeds regulate digestion. This is the reason why they are a key ingredient in baby teas and served after meals in Ayurvedic cuisine. Turmeric is also highly valued in Ayurveda and used to treat inflammations.

Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) are effective prebiotics derived from the cell walls of yeasts. They cover the intestinal wall and thwart attacks by hostile microorganisms. At the same time, they are nutrients for friendly intestinal bacteria. Beta-glucans have an anti-inflammatory effect and can stimulate the immune defence. That’s how our GASTROINTESTINAL NO. 1 helps dogs to build up a resilient intestinal flora, an effective immune system, quickly alleviates symptoms of a nervous intestine and strengthens the digestive tract long term.

Ingredients
Psyllium Husks
Psyllium husks are the seed shells of the plant species Plantago africa and Plantago india. The hulls are rich in indigestible dietary fiber and mucilage. They can bind large amounts of liquid and attach to the intestinal mucosa like a protective layer. Psyllium harmonizes intestinal activity both in diarrhea and constipation.

Cellulose
Cellulose is a natural dietary fibre.

Fennel Seeds
Fennel seeds are rich in essential oils. As a tea and spice, they are traditionally used to soothe the gastrointestinal tract.

Turmeric
Turmeric is a superfood that may have anti-inflammatory properties due to the curcumin it contains.

Mannanoligosaccharide (MOS)
MOS are carbohydrates from the cell wall of brewer's yeast. As prebiotics, they support a healthy intestinal flora and thus also protect against pathogenic germs in the digestive tract.

Beta-Glucane
Beta-glucans are polysaccharides derived from the cell walls of brewer’s yeast. As prebiotic dietary fibers, they promote the growth of healthy intestinal bacteria. Beta-glucans can have a positive influence on the immune system and digestion.

Feeding Recommendation
GASTROINTESTINAL NO. 1 is mixed with the food (3 g powder per 5kg body weight – about one teaspoon). When feeding dry food, it is useful to mix the powder with a little water beforehand.

In case of acute digestive problems or after the administration of antibiotics, GASTROINTESTINAL NO. 1 can be fed as a regenerative regimen for several days. When your dog is prone to chronic digestive issues, a permanent feeding harmonises the gastrointestinal tract.
